The Ctrl+Alt+Emprego project, promoted by the employment office, aims to facilitate immigrants' access to the labor market by increasing digital literacy and enriching their social, cultural, personal, and professional skills level. Through the development of these, it aims to enable the immigrants to access more employment opportunities with better working conditions, facilitate access to information/knowledge about citizenship rights/duties related to labor matters and, promote autonomous career guidance and job prospecting through the creation and operation of a web platform.

This platform offers Free Training, a tool for creating a "Curriculum Vitae" and Job Search Support. We, therefore, intend to facilitate immigrants with access to the labor market in Portugal. Ctrl+Alt+Emprego is powered by the JRS employment office.

We currently offer basic computer training, which lasts 40 hours and is carried out face-to-face at the JRS facilities.

The role of the employment office is to provide the necessary information and professional guidance to working-age immigrants. With this intervention, JRS intends to facilitate the integration into the labor market of the population it serves and promote equal opportunities.

JRS selects candidates, offers them training, participates in the active job search, and continues to support them after they have been placed on the job market, counting on the essential support of many individuals and companies that fully trust JRS and, in particular, in the work capacity of our users.

The application process for job offers, visible on the website and others, is carried out in principle through the Employment Office. Only in particular cases do the applicants get in direct contact with the employer.

The Employment Office of JRS Portugal developed this project. Since 2001, JRS-Portugal has promoted labor insertion for the immigrant population. Since then, we have upgraded the professionalization of the services provided, both to immigrants and employers.
