The first Focus Group was held on 14 May this year and was attended by 6 organisations:
• Fundação Allamano
• ALCC – Associação Lusofonia Cultura e Cidadania
• Associação Juvenil Nasce e Renasce
• Culturface – Associação Cultural Para o Desenvolvimento
• AD SUMUS – Associação de Imigrantes de Almada
• JRS-Portugal
This Focus Group aimed to understand, from the experiences of the organisations, what difficulties they have encountered in the people they accompany in the use of ICTs and how this has influenced the job search and labour insertion of migrants. Based on the above, we intend to identify which contents we should contemplate in the platform, so that it can be a valid help for migrants in the integration process.
This meeting was valued as very positive and, in fact, the various organisations agreed on the importance of networking, since working together allows for greater learning and the possibility of offering a better service to the population. In this sense, the organisations considered this project as a valuable help for migrants' learning and, consequently, for an easier integration in the labour market. They even offered their support to disseminate the project so that it could benefit as many people as possible.
It is also worth mentioning that this Focus Group had the support of our partner Fórum Refúgio in its preparation and implementation.
The Ctrl+Alt+Emprego Project is part of the Programa Cidadãos Ativos (gulbenkian.pt), funded by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism (EEA Grants - Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) and managed by the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian in consortium with the FUndação Bissaya Barreto.
